2DonnBooks was started as a small publishing company in 2004 by Francie Donnell and Donna Merchant. They had previously worked together for over six years at a small private school in Fairfax, Virginia. When it came time for them to individually move on to other endeavors, it did not take long for them to realize that their creative energies and love for children's literature should be channeled into publishing. 2DonnBooks reflects their vision to produce quality books at an affordable price using 21st Century publishing techniques and marketing tools. Many of the books will include multimedia and interactive formats, along with the traditional rich illustrations that children love.

Francie Donnell is a teacher, musician and children's song writer who has lived throughout the United States and Europe during her career. While working as a Librarian and music teacher at a private school in Fairfax, Virginia she met Donna Merchant and their professional collaboration began. Goblins will be Seen is their first commercial project and brings together their shared passion for art, music, and children's literature. Francie lives in Reston, Virginia with her husband, Doug, and two teenage sons, William and John. She is an early childhood music specialist for Winwood Children's Centers in Northern Virginia, (www.winwood.com). |

Donna Merchant lives in Dale City, Virginia with her husband Paul and three year old son, Benjamin. She has had a life-long passion for art. She earned a Bachelor's of Fine Art Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She taught art history and appreciation for nine years at a private school in Fairfax, Virginia, and it is there that she met Francie Donnell. Last year she chose to pursue a new career, stay-at-home mom and children's book illustrator. She continues to enjoy being an artist and spending valuable time with her family.
